During 2018 the Swedish Arts Grants Committee’s International Music Program in collaboration with Visby International Centre for Composers – VICC – began a long-term project aimed at strengthening Swedish musicians and composers possibility to meet and be inspired by foreign composers taking part of a residency at the VICC. The project includes four (4) composers a year that get to develop an extended contact and interaction with Swedish artists and music scene, through organized meetings with music representatives, as part of the guest composer’s visit to Sweden. This project is coordinated and managed by VICC and the Swedish Arts Grants Committee accounts for individual grants, for international travel and for accommodation in Sweden.
